Lettuce, Paddy's Pink

from CA$4.50

A large, open-romaine type with crisp leaves, and beautiful colouring.  Excellent as a cut and come again.   I was at a Seedy Saturday on Denman Island a few years ago and was given these seeds by someone who told me I had to grow these. Last year I finally met Paddy, who found this as a cross or sport in her garden and saved seeds on them. Way to go Paddy! Lettuce prefers growing in the cooler spring and fall seasons.  Direct sow in April, or start inside in March, and transplant out. Re-sow every 2-3 weeks for a continual harvest.
