Carrot, St. Valery

from CA$4.50

An heirloom grown in France since the 1800’s, this variety has withstood the test of time. Sweet flavour, good vigour, deep orange in colour with strong tops. When we first started growing this for seed it was quite variable in shape, but we have been selecting for a Nantes-type blunt tip, and are proud to say that the variety is now much more uniform. Its an awesome carrot! Carrots are generally easy to grow. Sow in loose, well-prepared soil, keep moist until the seeds sprout. Weed well until the seedlings are established.
