Greens Lettuce, Paddy's Pink
Paddy's Pink Lettuce Image 1 of
Paddy's Pink Lettuce
Paddy's Pink Lettuce

Lettuce, Paddy's Pink

from CA$4.50

A few years ago at a Seedy Saturday on Denman Island I was approached by someone who said I had to grow this lettuce. So I of course tried it and love it. Last year I finally met Paddy, who found this as a cross or sport in her garden and saved seeds on it. Way to go! Its a large, open-romaine type with crisp leaves, and beautiful colouring.  Excellent as a cut and come again.

Lettuce prefers growing in the cooler spring and fall seasons.  Direct sow in April, or start inside in March, and transplant out. Re-sow every 2-3 weeks for a continual harvest.
