This rare heirloom originated in Tibet, where it has been grown as a staple since time immemorial. Hulless and easy to grow, with a wonderful nutty flavour too. Sow early-mid Spring in moderately fertile soil, 1/2-3/4” deep. We prefer to sow in rows about 1’ apart, which makes for easy weeding when the plants are small. Once established they will take over the bed. Harvest the seeds in late summer when the seeds are hard.
