Rapini

CA$4.50

Brassica rapa. Also known as Broccoli Raab. A quick growing, slightly bitter green well known in Italy, and adored for its tender stalks and leaves topped with a small, broccoli-like head. Easy to grow, produces copious amounts of delicious flower buds and stalks over a several weeks period if kept well picked. Start inside in early spring or late summer and transplant out when the seedlings are a couple of inches tall. Protect from predators with row cover until established. Start harvesting when the first small heads appear and keep well picked.
